Lakeland, FL - Angel Berroa went 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run homer and finished with four runs batted in, as the New York Yankees routed the Detroit Tigers, 12-3, in Spring Training action.
Xavier Nady added a solo homer for the Yankees, while Colin Curtis and Jose Molina both drove in a pair of runs. A.J. Burnett got the win after tossing two scoreless innings. Phil Hughes hurled three innings of no-hit ball and fanned four in the win.
Will Rhymes stroked a two-run home run and Don Kelly drove in the other run for the Tigers in defeat. Nate Robertson took the loss after yielding three runs on three hits in two innings of work. Robertson also walked four and struck out just two.
