TAMPA, Fla. -- Mike Mussina is in the house. And no, he's not in uniform. Nor will he be.
Mussina and his family are on vacation in Florida and the former New York Yankees star thought it would be fun to drop in on his old team. But the 20-game winner isn't interested in changing his mind about retirement.
He said it would be weird to be at the ballpark so much this summer to watch his sons play Little League. And when regular season games begin, he said it might be tough on him to see so many games on television.
Otherwise, Mussina seems perfectly content being retired and doesn't anticipate his feelings will change.
"I feel good being retired," Mussina said.
